 An amazingly quirky place with a delightful welcoming host.
There are no facilities, except water, but the place is in an idyllic setting with the coast a two minute stroll up the Croft. We saw grey seals …. And only because our host told us where to look!
The place is filled with unusual, witty pieces of fun…. It also has a poly tunnel “bar” with beer, whisky etc on an honesty basis. And don’t start me on the chocolate brownies, again on an honesty basis.
Loved this place.

Well organised and set out. Easy to find.
Site with very friendly owners.
Great walks straight from the croft to the lighthouse and a lovely beach.
Would recommend if in area.

We loved this campsite. It’s quirky, dog friendly (and dogs can go off lead on the Croft); a warm welcome given by the owners as well as advice re local facilities and fishing.
A wonderful indoor space to sit out of wind with optics of whisky and an honesty box.
On-site amenities include good size, level pitches and hookups and water. All other amenities available 5 minutes away and a welcoming sports centre or a little further at launderette.
Absolutely recommend this as a base for exploring North Lewis.

Great site, warm welcome and very reasonable price. You need to be fairly self contained as there are no showers, toilets or chemical disposal on site but all this is quite clear before you book. These facilities are available at a nearby sports club, which I didn't use but believe they are good, clean and quite cheap to use.
The site has some electric hook-ups. There's an honesty box with eggs, cakes, marmalade etc. And an honesty bar in a poly tunnel. All around there are quirky 'art installations'.
The surrounding countryside is fantastic, with access to lovely walks and beaches and the Butt of Lewis just over a mile away.
Altogether a lovely site and one I would definitely return to should I come this way again. Highly recommended.

Really lovely campsite and we had a wonderful sunset when we were there.
Quirky walk through the Croft to the sea - lots of fun things on the way!
The owners were so friendly and attentive.
EHU and water on site.
Leisure centre very close for all other amenities for a very small charge.

Nice wee quirky campsite, 4G worked and tv had some channel through freeview,
Very friendly,
You can empty toilet waste at the centre for a small fee just down the road,
Butt of Lewis lighthouse and Eoropie beach just a short walk away, shops and cafe nearby 👍

The owners are so friendly and have a fabulously stocked honesty box from which we bought homemade fudge and pickles. Also available were various home-baked cakes and homemade jams.
The site is on a long and very narrow croft, along which you can walk all the way down to the coastal path to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse.
The owners have a real sense of humour with fun items placed at intervals all the way down their land. Awesome scenery all along the coast - rocks, waves, beautiful deserted sandy beaches.
Also provided on site for cooler evenings is a seating area in a poly tunnel with music and whisky (again, by honesty box).
Nearby early evening drinks at the social club next to Ness FC, where the locals are really friendly and chatty. Cross Inn slightly further away is open till 1am on Thurs and Fri eves, great live music and atmosphere.
No facilities at the campsite but public loos near the harbour and showers / sauna if you want at the Sports Centre, which also has 10-pin bowling.
A really memorable visit to an amazing place.

Friendly, attentive owners. Quirky site. Relaxing stay.
We walked from site to lighthouse and Morrison's Island and St Malvegs Church.
Beach a walk or short drive away.
Showers and waste disposal at local Sports Centre were a mild inconvenience we knew about in advance.
We would definitely visit again.

Just fabulous! Initially booked 1 night but stayed 2.
Lovely hosts, brilliant pitches, wonderful Croft for dogs to run. Views fab.
Clean facilities close buy. Also great pub and taxi service.
Can't wait to go back.

Brilliant site. No toilet, showers or chemical disposal - not an issue- just be prepared. Sports centre a short distance away.
Great location for walks to Point of Ness.
Lovely owners - very helpful. Organised a table booking and taxi for a meal at The Cross (also highly recommended)
