 Positives:

Beautiful views

Very clean, well cared for site

Friendly warm welcome

Huge pitches some with privacy/boundary hedging

Negatives:

Cant believe no other reviews mention the road noise from the A55, sitting on the beach the roar of traffic is deafening. Obviously not the sites fault but if youd gone for a beach holiday youd be disappointed.

Shops 20 mins away

Very sloping, you need to be fit.

Not very well lit at night-solar lights?

The site is a good stopover if you want to go to NT Bodnant, Id stay again because of the positives but Id bear in mind the negatives.

We absolutely loved our stay here!

The facilities were always clean and easy to get to, and there was never a wait, even when the site was busy.

The views are just gorgeous – mountains on one side and the sea on the other, it really couldn’t be more perfect.

The pitches are well-spaced and level, which made everything so easy and comfortable.

It’s such a peaceful spot, and we came away feeling really relaxed.

We’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely site with spacious pitches and amazing views.

The wardens are super friendly and helpful.

The facilities, whilst basic, are scrupulously clean and well organised.

 Lovely site.

Clear instructions provided on how to find the site. Useful info provided on nearest pubs/restaurants etc.

Wardens were very friendly and helpful.

Main selling point are the beautiful views. Hills in one direction and the sea (and Puffin Island) in the other.

Hope to return.

We stayed here for three nights, with the first night having beautiful weather and a stunning sunset over the sea, but unfortunately thereafter rain falling copiously, accompanied by wind.

The site is spacious, so you never feel crowded. This is mainly due to it being on a large slope or hillside, with platforms or banks created to make level places for tents.

This works really well, unless your tent happens to be a bit too big for the available plots. This was the case for us, and we were unable to pitch our 6m tent quite properly, resulting in rain coming in copiously at one end when the downpours began.

But our sleeping area remained dry, which surely is the main thing. Incidentally, if you pitch your tent higher up, you might have problems getting up there on the slippery grass with your vehicle if it’s wet, so be aware!

The location is beautiful, with lovely walks around. There is some distant rail/road noise, so not the quietest campsite I’ve ever been on, but I suspect it wouldn’t bother most people.

The village is quite close by, and we were able to watch the Euros games at the local football club, which was very friendly and welcoming.

There is a beautiful pass over the mountains to reach Conway (if you want to go there the pretty way), and the town itself is very cute although very much dependent on tourists by the look of it. We loved the castle, so interesting and imposing!

The showers were very reliable and clean, so no problems there. All in an all, a well-run campsite in a stunning location, with some small limitations as described above.

As always, a nice welcome and clear instructions after being shown to our pitch.

Lovely location on a hill but most pitches level.

Loo block basic but very clean and plenty of cubicles.

Showers bright, new and clean.

The site is immaculate with a good mix of camping and caravanning spaces.

The facilities are everything needed. Possibly a stool or chair in the accessible showers, makes life easier for disabled users who might need somewhere to sit and space for medical needs ie stoma equipment.

We had a sea view which was spectacular with fabulous sunsets with the gentle slope up to the hill range behind it’s a really lovely site.
