 Beautifully kept & very good facilities
The location was spectacular.
Really liked that the pitches had some privacy from the next tents due Tao thoughtful planting of screening conifers.
The camp site managers very extremely friendly
Wouldn’t hesitate to use this site again

Can only endorse the reviews that say how friendly the site is. Managers, seasonal residents, all happy to chat & suggest dog walking (there’s plenty, given the nearby estate & river for dog-dipping, plus Southern Upland Way), local pubs etc. And many caravans are lit up at night so it looked quite festive! £32 pn included hardstand, dog, awning, shower, but no Wi-Fi (strong Vodafone signal), and the website warns that there is no tv reception.
Facilities are super clean, but I’d have preferred a modesty cubicle in place of one of the toilets. There are 3 good showers, but the lights don’t go over 2 of the cubicles, so they’re quite dark even in daylight hours.
You’ll probably need chocks, the site is sloping. Views of the valley from the top of the site only. If you have a MH, don’t use a canister, use the grey water drain at the top of the site when you leave; there are no drains at the bottom where the touring pitches are.
Lauder has everything you need: baker, several coffee shops, butcher, gallery, several pubs. Thirlestane castle is a pleasant walk from the site, 3 guided tours a day but access to the small garden appears to be free. We took the bus to Melrose one day from the middle of Lauder; the bus timetable allowed us ample time to explore there.

The site is mostly seasonal, our camper van was on a huge hard standing pitch amongst large seasonal units! Such a lovely site, surrounded by autumnal colours in the trees although I bet it’s equally beautiful any season.
Immaculate site, access and drive carefully to your pitch on the 1 way system. Lots of rubbish bins in enclosures around the site along with water points with hoses attached.
Great washing up area and immaculate toilets and showers which are cleaned and routinely checked, the shower cubicles are big, enough room to dry off and get changed. Loads of hot water without the need to keep pressing the shower button!
Lovely walk around Thirlestane castle grounds and 10 minute walk into Lauder for coffee and lunch. Lovely site, friendly people and owners.

Greeting on arrival warm and friendly, hose already attached to water fill up point fantastic idea wish all campsites did this.
Huge pitch not too level but no probs. Showers clean and tidy if loo not clean it's the campers not cleaning up.
All other campers friendly.
Easy walk into the village fab pub Black Bull, bakery, butchers. Ice cream van came around the site.
Loved it here so quiet and peaceful.

Great, helpful reception staff.
Shower block a little basic but very clean and plenty of hot water.
Fantastic location, castle and hill views.
Lauder a short pleasant walk away with good beer and food( lasagne!) superb.
Great mill towns a short drive away and Southern Uplands.
Locharron kilt makers a fab visitor day out at Selkirk.

Brilliant site.
The rally field was perfect for us although the toilet /shower facilities were a good walking distance.
It was a short distance by foot to the town which was ideal.
A dog friendly site with great walks nearby.
Will return soon.

Lovely wee site, well kept, has statics tenting area and touring area.
Wardens friendly, lots of nice walking adjacent to site and short walk into town where there are two places you can get a meal also premier store, cafes, butchers, post office bakers etc.
Refurbished toilet block, cleaned daily however at busy times can get dirty but that is a reflection on some of users rather than the site itself!
There is a laundry but only has one washing machine and one drier which is really inadequate for the size of the site, especially in busy times, also no ironing facilities. Also a hairdryer in the toilet block would be handy especially for the campers.
There are two sinks for dishwashing with a overhead covered area and unless demand has been great, loads of hot water.
Also has a small play park.

Lovely site.
Well kept grounds and excellent clean facilities.
Helpful owners, very responsive to booking queries and a friendly welcome in the office.

Easy to find site, good facilities. Friendly welcome. Good sized pitches. Great walks directly from site.
Castle close by.
Few shops, pub, chippy in village. Lots of rabbits to watch for our dogs.
Lovely scenery. River walk or fields.
Village five minute stroll.

We used just for a one night stopover.
Big site which has statics and what seems to be mainly seasonal pitches. There are several tourer pitches, hardstanding and all together which we liked.
Shower block immaculate, heated, plenty of hot water and looked as if had a recent refit. Washing up under cover and a laundry room.
Wardens super helpful, nothing to much trouble for them. We changed bookings twice and they were great (thank you).
Loved the footpaths around the castle (even when castle closed there are great walks in the grounds.
Village is an easy 5 minutes walk from the end of the site on the pavement, butchers, bakers, coop, cafe etc etc.
Would recommend as at £24 including showers and electric it's a bargain and the castle and village are an added bonus.
