3rd time we've stayed here before the local Cropredy Festival.
Great site with plenty of space, very good facilities, quiet and good walking in the area.
Easy access to other attractions including NT, Edgehill battle site, Banbury. Only slight downside is lack of local shops and restricted opening times for the local pub.
However, as walkers, the 4 mile, and great walk to the local shop & cafe in Tysoe was really good. Just be prepared to carry your supplies back in your rucksack for the 4 mile return!
Note: there may be more shops at Kineton not too easy a walk on footpaths but easy by car.
Very, very helpful and friendly owners and a great price.
Liked - the rural location which was easy to find and in a lovely little village with a great pub - such a shame that they no longer do food; the site itself was (generally)quiet - it is family friendly so there is inevitably some noise: however, the site rules state that it should be quiet between the hours of 10pm and 9am, and this was adhered to whilst we were there;
- booking was easy and the owner, Maxine, friendly. She responded quickly to email queries;
- the pitch size (please note though, that there are many more than 14 pitches as stated on this website, plus there is a large rally field too).
Disliked - the facilities: whilst the layout of the toilets and bathrooms was good (great having a toilet, sink and shower in one room), they were not clean and - whilst we were there - never looked or smelt as if any disinfectant had been used; not all the bins (including those for sanitary products) had lids; the pot-wash area could only be used by one person at a time, the washing machine was out of order and the room was not clean - warm, yes, but not much room, and no way would we want to leave our washing to dry in there, as one recent reviewer suggested! We appreciate that not all campers will do their bit to help keep facilities pleasant for everyone, but would still expect to see evidence that cleaning had taken place;
- the lack of lighting: the facilities block is not particularly close depending on where you’re sited, so some low-level lighting would be useful.
We were surprised by how different our view of this site was compared to so many others: it was over the bank holiday in August when it was quite busy, so maybe that’s a contributing factor? However, we were disappointed by the site and left after 2 nights despite paying for 3. We won’t be returning.
We had a great long weekend at Mount Farm. It was easy to book, with options to extend our stay for a little extra on the Sunday, which was perfect for our little family.
The campsite is well laid out with different pitch options depending on what you like.
The bathroom block was warm, clean and fully working and there is also a laundry/washing up room that is warm enough to dry clothes.
There is a play park just along the road which the kids could go to and the meadow area is beautiful.
It was peaceful at night with everyone being respectful of the 10pm sound curfew.
The castle at Edgehill is within walking distance which we must recommend and there arelots of public footpaths to explore.
With direct access to the River Thames, this family-friendly spot is perfect for boaters and walkers alike. Tourers, tents, motorhomes and RVs welcome. Grass electric, hard-standing and premium multi-service and RV pitches available. Spacious, modern, heated shower blocks with free hot water, hairdryers and shaving points. So early in the season we had a great choice of pitches with lovely views. EHU & water supply on same supply station ( own hose needed). Warm, enclosed toilet, shower & dishwashing facilities.
A bonus for us - lambing season was in full swing. Playing field with children’s rustic play items another bonus for families.
We took advantage of the local bus service to Stratford on Avon through lovely Cotswold villages & countryside. (Only 2 buses per day) but this allowed 2 hours to visit features associated with The Bard or just retail therapy in the shops. Services also to Banbury.
We enjoyed our stay at Mount Farm Park & would certainly return.

The campsite is in a beautiful setting with stunning views.
It was very peaceful and quiet when we were there.
You are pretty much left to your own devices and can pitch anywhere in a given area so we were able to take advantage of the views.
It is very reasonable and in a great location for days out.
The toilet block is well designed but unfortunately it didn't have enough stock of soap and toilet roll so not sure if these are being monitored regularly.
We used the washing machine whilst there and it takes £1 coins for 20 minutes so you need a small supply.
There are some seasonal caravans with what seemed like local contractors in and some of their language was a bit colourful and off putting but after a polite word it stopped.
The campsite has sheep which are very amusing to watch especially as when they were cheeky and got into the camping field for a little adventure!
We had a great week with just a couple of niggles. via mobile
Had a nice stay here with friends, also in a touring caravan.
Did not meet the owners as they were on holiday during our stay and we had a self check in, although the owner was pleasant and helpful on the phone.
Of the 14 EHU I would estimate that around 10 were occupied by permanently sited caravans. Fortunately our pitches had a nice enough view looking out over the larger non EHU field which was mostly empty during our stay.
Very quiet site, the only road noise being the M40 which could be heard very faintly depending on the wind direction.
The wet rooms were nice but they could have been fantastic had they been noticeably cleaned during our seven night stay, they did not look as though they had received a deep clean for quite some time (covid anyone?).
Nice pub at the bottom of the village about 10 min walk. Lots of footpaths for dog walking.
Maxine was there on arrival and showed us to our pitch and told us where all the facility were, was nice to have both electric and water we could hook up too.
Would definitely stay here again. via mobile
