The place was clean and well kept.
Failed to realise the two wooden summer houses contained the toilets at first. Shower worked well.
Good value for money, made an ideal stopover for our Scottish trip.

Always find our way back to this fab wee site.
Lovely owners who are always on hand, but happy to leave you in peace.
Brilliant views from all pitches.
Short walk across the road into nearby Culzean country park with cafe. Bus stop outside site entrance.
Toilet facility in farm building is a bonus - basic but immaculately clean.

Had a fantastic stay at the farm.
Owner Fiona was chatty, friendly, accommodating and helpful. We even got to feed the new lambs.
We cannot recommend the site highly enough.
Toilet/shower facilities are basic but adequate for our needs.
Already booked up for a return visit. Fiona, it was lovely to meet you x

Brilliant site with amazing views across Arran and Alisa Craig. Helpful and friendly owners
Reasonable size pitches and recycling, chemical disposal and waste water disposal well organised
Toilet and shower facilities basic but clean, however we always use our van facilities so had no need to use the site facilities
Bus stop just outside the entrance in both directions
Easy to access just across the road from the entrance to Culzean castle. , ideal spot for touring Ayrshire

Situated along its own farm track ( rather bumpy) this site is secluded and peaceful with fantastic views to Arran and Alisa Craig.
Lots of wildlife to see. Facing west there are lovely sunsets too. Fairly level hard standing but chocks May be needed. Ehu and water near the pitch. Surrounding grass kept well cut.
Very friendly owner.
It is a working sheep farm. Didn’t see the shower etc as have our own facilities but areas round CDP and bins tidy.
Ideal location for Culzean castle. We drove down as quite steep to walk or cycle back.
Good walks round the castle grounds. Really enjoyed staying here.
Great value at £15 a night and would recommend if you like a quiet, restful location.

As you arrive at Thomaston Farm you are greeted with a beautiful view of Ailsa Craig and Isle of Arran. Stunning.
The owners are very friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us settle.
We had 2 nights and although the site facilities are basic, as you would expect from the cheap price, it creates a great feeling of traditional camping and being outdoors.
Hot shower, clean toilets and amazing views made for a fantastic 2 night stay over Easter weekend.
Thank you Thomaston Farm. Mike and Shona
