 We were only able to stay 1 night as site full for weekend, would have stayed longer.
A pleasant site at the far (non Clitheroe) side of Edisford Bridge, just past the pub. Long caravan.
The site has good quality clean facilities and is split into three main areas, all with electric hookups.
Toilet/Shower were cleaned very early AM and were spotless.
Good hardstanding for caravans/motorhomes.
The adjacent pub provides excellent food lunch and dinner.

Arrived at a very soggy site for a weekend. It didn't bode well well the owner greeted us in shorts. And wellies! (well, the sun was shining for the first time in a week, according to him).
He admitted to struggling to get us a decent pitch at the start. He said he was having to shuffle units around depending on size and weight. Our van isnt huge, so he wanted us to pitch right at the trackside - which wasn't ideal.
But, whilst I was filling up with water, he 'found' a hard pitch, so we were happier. More so, our friends who were enroute, and due to have to pitch on the grass opposite, were given an adjacent hard standing right next door.
All in all, we had a very nice weekend; not much rain, cracking views - excellent tv/phone/internet coverage, and some decent walking around the lanes. There's a pub right next door that does good ale and good food, and plenty of others about a mile down the road in Clitheroe. He charged us £15 with leccy - apparently its cheaper in the week? Theres a cabin with bare essentials, and info on the local area.
There's not a lot to do for kids, but some seemed happy to play in an adjacent field, running about and climbing trees. How weird is that nowadays!
The loo block is spotless, but there needs to be a small buffet in the showers, as the drainage appears slow, which has you unable to avoid standing in a puddle to get dry. This being the only negative observation on the whole site.

What a fantastic site - well maintained and extremely clean -
On arrival we were given a choice of location and opted for the very large field at the rear of the tourers field. There were only 3 other tents at the busiest time and for 2 of our 3 nights only us --
Views from the breakfast table in the morning were fantastic as we had nothing but sunshine during our stay -
The toilet blocks and wash up facilities were immaculate and very clean --
Local pub was just 2min walk away and is highly recommended for the food (you must sample the lasagne and fish and chips)
The nearby park with access to the river was brilliant but a quick note - get there early as it soon gets busy - children of all ages can paddle and even walk across the full width of the river -
Clitheroe has a good range of shops Cowmans Sausages must have a visit - Clitheroe Castle and Bowland Wild Boar Park all within 20 mins are worth a visit --
We will definitely be back to this site as very well run and very well priced.

The site is clean and tidy,pitches for tourers were hard standing with some grass to the sides of the site.T he hard standing pitches were sloping all with electric.
Another larger grass field was at the rear of the main site, this was being used for a rally.
The water pressure from the point near our pitch was a little low, as it rained and was very windy for most of our stay you can get wet awaiting your container filling up.
The main toilet block and showers were great,5 star.
We did just about see the views from the campsite and on a clear day would be very nice.
Overall the campsite is good,clean,and the price is right.The pub nearby do some very nice food,we had a lovely sunday roast.
Clitheroe is a nice town with many shops,it can get busy and parked cars and lorries can make it a bit orkward for a large caravan to drive through.
The indoor swimming pool and park are just a ten minute walk away,the park has a model steam/diesel railway track which is great fun for the dads to play on,'why let the children have all the fun'.This runs most weekends.
If the weather had been better we would have visited to more of the area with looks lovely.

Excellent tent pitches, clean and immaculate. It is a relatively small area for tents at the bottom and as previously stated it can be slightly breezy. Excellent distance from the local pub and only a short walk to Edisford Bridge. About a 1.5 mile walk to Clitheroe town centre. The owners of the site are friendly and accommodating and they were up cleaning the showers and toilets at about 6am. Shower cubicles and toilets were excellently maintained with a washing up area at the side. Good value for money too

A pleasant site at the far (non Clitheroe) side of Edisford Bridge, just past the pub. Do not confuse it with the caravan&camping club site at the other side of the bridge where it is difficult to turn round in the car park with a long caravan.
The site has good quality clean facilities and is split into three main areas, all with electric hookups.
1 Hardstanding for caravans/motorhomes
2 Tent Camping with limited car access
3 A sort of hybrid area, for either caravans/motorhome or tents, on grass round the outside.
The site is slightly sloping, the bottom end used for Tents seems to get a little muddy in bad weather. The site has excellent views of the area which leaves it a little exposed to strong winds but you can't have everything
The site was full for the five days of our stay and over the weekend tended to be a little noisy with excited children on weekend visits. As we were some distance away it caused us no problem.
Excellent centre for visits to the area, do not miss Clitheroe, Pendle etc.
The adjacent pub provides excellent food lunch and dinner.
Overall excellent site with good views and very good value for money.(£12.00/night weekend £10.00/night weekday including electric hookup)
