We chose this CCC Certificated Site because it had the star in the CCC Handbook (means a good report by a CCC member, not well justified). Phoned to check availability, owner appeared to take the 10 GBP for the pitch and EHU (CCC membership not needed) then disappeared again: his house was out of sight. Huge flat open grass field (4 acres), roughly mown, no track or hard standing, tall hedge along the B road that was noisy at local rush hour, otherwise the only sound was a tractor working in a nearby field. Adjacent woods for walking the dog, but she was OK off lead on site as we were the only people staying. A taste of almost wild camping in Gloucestershire. One flushing toilet in a wooden hut, hadn't been cleaned for some time (not for the squeamish), take your own torch and toilet paper. Fine for a one night stopover, but for only 2 GBP more at another CS in Shropshire we'd had hardstanding and a heated portacabin bathroom.
