Great little site. Clean facilities. Dog friendly.
Each pitch has hook up, water and a great picnic bench.
Quiet scenic area off the main road. Good directions to site.

Lovely, well maintained site in a peaceful setting. Easy to find and convenient location.
Only one Toilet and shower. It was OK as only a few people used the facilities. Heard that the owners are adding a second shower and toilet.
Would recommend.

This is a lovely site and I would very happily stay there again in the future. Owners have done some work to improve the pitches and the farm track approach to the site.
The mature trees that bordered the site have been trimmed back (gives better views, more sunlight and less stuff dropping on your caravan roof)
There is plenty of space on the site and each hardstanding pitch has its own tap and electric point. There is also a lawn which could be used as a play area for young children.
There is a toilet shower block (which was closed due to covid restrictions) which is a handy addition for a CS.
Its about 7 miles from the site to Carlisle (about 6 miles from site to M6) and roads are quiet enough for a pleasant cycle.
If in a caravan - a motor mover is handy so that you can position your caravan front first for the best views.

We visited this site over the Bank Holiday weekend. Due to restrictions the shower/toilets were closed.
But otherwise it is a very nice and tidy little site. The pitches are level, and easy to manoeuvre in to. There are public footpaths from the site and closeby, which can link with the Hadrian footpath.
The owners are welcoming and friendly. There is no access issues, the 0. 5miles along the bumpy track is narrow and taken slowly, but there was no hassles.
Signage from the North could be improved similar to the one from the South but it is only nit-picking.
I would recommend this site and will return to it

Our first visit to this site but won't be out last, we missed the turn for the site and were checking the directions when a car pulled up and and the driver approached us asking if we were looking for this site told us to follow him, he turned out to be the chap who looks after it.
The road to the site is a farm track that is ok at slow speed, there is hard standing pitches all level with a tap next to your electric hook up, the grass pitches are slightly sloping so chocks needed.
The grass is cut short the whole site is well maintained, the toilet block is in an old building just next to the site, the shower itself is large, water is metered, the meter was broken so shower were free, one toilet, again in a large room, a sink for washing up, a washing m/c as well in the building, this was all heated,
A pub Robin Hood about 1 1/2 mile away doing nice meals but check opening times, 5 miles to Brampton or longtown for shops or 10 miles to Gretna outlet shops.

This is a good basic site for either a visit to Hadrian's Wall or on your way to/from Scotland.
We used this site twice for our trip to Scotland as an overnight stay and it served us very well.
Site manager very friendly and helpful.
Facilities are fine and what you'd expect for the price.
We would certainly be coming back.

Have used this site on numerous occasions. It is a nice quiet site with countryside views. The site is well maintained by a very friendly gentleman and handyman.
There is 1 toilet, and a great shower. Also washing up area and a washing machine if required. It is quite secluded and not any shops in the vicinity. However it is only a short drive to nearby Longtown or Carlisle. Great site for 'getting away from it all'. Very peaceful. Would definitely recommend.
