 It is an interesting drive from castlebay to reach this site, over a causeway and pass the wreckage of an airplane.
The site is next to Vatersay Community centre. There is ample space for camping opposite, and Motorhome parking adjacent, levellers may be required. There is also space for 4 / 5 motorhomes 200m along road.
There are heated toilets and showers £1 for 3 min. There is also a cold water wash up area. All facilities are cleaned every morning.
There is also a cafe on site, l can recommend the cakes all made in the village. Wifi is available, get code from cafe. (BT wifi also works)
Opposite is a wide white sandy beach with excellent views. There are also a waymarked trail from the site.
The site is used by cyclists and walkers completing Hebridean Way.
As the site is run by the local community, there is an honesty box for services provided.
