What can I say about this site other than delightful! A small site surrounded by trees with only the sound of the church bells, the ducks and the cows to distract you from the tranquillity of the place. The site is on a slight slope which can make it interesting, but not impossible, getting your caravan level. You might want to bring a few wooden blocks just in case!
The facilities are spotless, with showers (50p) and toilets situated at the lower end of the field. Electric hook-up's are situated around the centre of the field, with 2 water supply points near the toilet building. Waste water disposal is a bit basic, being a removable man-hole cover direct into the sewer. Not as bad as it sounds, just remember to wash your hands afterwards! The site is amazing value at only £6.50 per night with electrics.
Loddon is a lovely little Norfolk village, with everything you need within a short walk. Various take-aways (I can recommend Lims Chippy opposite the Police Station) and a couple of pubs provide quick, quality food at a reasonable price, and the Co-op at the top of the village stocks all the essentials if you want to cook yourself. All-in-all, this is a smashing place to stay, either as a base for exploring Norfolk or just to relax and let life drift by. Due to it's relaxed atmosphere, and the quietness of Loddon village itself, I think it could be a little too laid back for children or families though. If you want to get away from it all, this place is a must!
