 Very pleased with this site,

Great location next to the beach and very clean with good toilets and showers, with very friendly staff.

If your looking for a quiet relaxing site I highly recommend it. Will definitely be back.

 Basic but adequate.

Lovely location but the site feels rather dated, limited coin operated showers for example.

Mainly a small caravan site with spaces for campervans and tents in the centre.

Likes - The warden, AJ very helpful and worked his magic to accommodate us at very short notice, much appreciated.

The site is situated on a rise a stone's throw from the beach and a relaxing ten minutes walk into the village.

Well worth a visit, well stocked shop and for those looking to slake their thirsts a hotel with refreshments aplenty.

Friendly people live here so give yourself time to stop for a chat on occasion. On site the touring pitches are quite informal with plenty of elbow room.

Fresh water point is situated mid field, be wary of bottoming out if your unit is of the low slung variety, I managed to graze the approach to the fresh water point with a newly fitted spare wheel carrier, oops!

Facilities were clean but the ladies in our party would have welcomed a bit of tiling about the place 😁

Lovely location and peaceful at night,

Needs a chemical disposal and upgraded showers which you need 50p for woman's and 10p for mens.

Laid back site.

We had a lovely time here and although facilities are a bit dated it is a perfect location and right on the beach.

About a ten minute walk into town.

We loved it and would definitely go back.

Basic amenities on site in fantastic position. Unregimented, no fixed pitches, but friendly and flexible.

Great cafe in the village down the road in the old library.

Tarbert Ness is also well worth a visit though the road is a challenge for a big motorhome

Stayed for 1 night during our NC500 trip.

A very basic site which is lacking facilities but the warm welcome and the superb location right by the beach more than make up for any missing facilities.

The campsite was very good value for money. The welcome was very friendly, the location was great.

The site is close to the beach and centre with a cafe and places to eat. Lovely walks up the coast.

The facilities were basic but we were expecting none.

Very nice stay, could have stayed longer.

Large field with direct access to a lovely sandy beach which the dogs loved.

Welcome from the manse was friendly, came down to the site to hook us up, needed 50 meter cable.

£10. 00 deposit for the key to get access to the loo block. Loos are clean, there is no heating and very little light as all the windows are boarded up. 50p for a shower in the ladies block and 10p for a shower in the gents, unfortunately the men's showers were not heating up so hubby had a cold shower.

The field is surrounded by residential caravans, which have the flat spots. Difficult to find a fairly flat spot.

Could only find one water tap.

No provisions for emptying chemical loo.

No playground for children but beach is very nearby.

Very friendly site. Lots of people who come regularly.

Shop/post office in the village stocks virtually everything.

There is a restaurant but it was expensive and didn't welcome dogs.

A bit of an eccentric site run by the local church, and we were so glad we came. Definitely book/ring before you head there. It is a small field and the edges are taken up by statics and long term tourers so the only 'daily' space available is in the centre. That meant it felt a bit full but it has everything you need. You need to book in at the Manse and speak to the Reverend who was very helpful. Facilities are what is needed and no more - clean loos and showers, accessible water and electric points (though a long cable could be needed). The site is at the back of the sand dunes and whilst you can't see the beach from the field there is direct access through and down some wooden steps to the beach. The village has a good general grocery store (we walked to it along the beach)and an expensive restaurant with a good reputation (which we didn't try) and a very professional visitor centre. We got into the latter free on presentation of the loo-block key from the site.

It may not be for you if you require fancy facilities and perfectly parked lines of caravans and tents but we thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop off and would thoroughly recommend it as a site with a difference.
