 No advance booking and (very) tight access (ignore the 6ft width restriction sign on the hill up to the site, it is passable with a caravan) might put a lot of people off but the views from this site are simply sensational.
While the camping field is mainly for tents and small campers there are limited hook ups available, and if you have a small caravan well worth a try for an out of season stay. Remember to bring lots of levelling blocks however as the field slopes quite steeply.
Beer itself is a lovely little spot with great pubs and several restaurants to choose from, though I can imagine it becomes quite overcrowded in the peak summer months.
