Had a lovely time on this campsite in April (luckily the weather was good!) The facilities were clean and fresh and the children's play area was basic but enough and nice as it was right in front of the tents. The owners were very helpful with advice and services. We were there when it was very quiet but it is such a nice small site that I wouldn't worry about going back when it was packed. Very dog friendly as there is a huge field with wonderful open views where they can run to their hearts content (very useful when you have a 12 mth old springer puppy) Looking forward to visiting again!

This is an excellent small site with good facilities and friendly, welcoming owners. The weekend that we visited found the campsite very quiet, but the owners were on hand to get us settled in on a good level pitch. The nearby Church House Inn is highly recommended for food (although you should book), as is the Stokenham farm shop. Our excellent short stay was topped off by the owner bringing us freshly cooked croissant in the morning. An great site.

We have just returned from our first visit to " Old Cotmore Farm". This is a fabulous site with excellent facilities always clean and with free hot water for showering and even though the site was fully booked never a wait for a shower or loo. The owners are very friendly, and the site is very well laid out, our pitch had distant sea views. The site is just over a mile away from Stokenham village with two lovely pubs, we walked to the church house inn in just over 20 mins at a steady pace. I'm certain we will return at a later date.

We visited this site 2 years ago and had a great time. I am pleased to say that the new owners have carried on making this site not just a good site but a great site. Its very clean, Gwen the owner was very helpful, the shop was there if needed, and she arranged a Easter egg hut for the kids on the camp site which was really thoughtful. We had a great time and will be going back again.

Bliss. Spot on. Perfect location, in the South Hams. Mid-way between Dartmouth, Salcombe, 2 miles form start point and Slapton lea. Squeaky clean toilets (with lashings of hot water), laundry, pot washing area, also hot and cold running ducks, and an overspill camping field for the 6 weeks summer hols. Shop has everything you may have forgotten. You can also order your morning bread batons and croissants any time on a white board, then collect them the next morning. This is a delightful rural retreat, with lots of retirees. No radios, few kids out of the holidays and all pitches are level and most on gravel. The owners are simply delightful people. This is a camp site run a little like the caravan club sites were 30 years ago, before they got oversize and overburdened with rules. Will the new owners please not change anything at all.

Just come back from our 3rd year at Old Cotmore Farm. The stay was excellent as ever and the facilities were up to the good standard maintained by Graham and Lyn. Unfortunately, Graham and Lyn are retiring and have sold the site. It will be interesting to see how things change - hopefully not in a bad way. Most of the 'regulars' I spoke to are going to give it a go next year to see if the site remains as one of the best sites in Devon. I can also recommend the Ashburton Arms (good food - 'steak on the rocks' where you cook your own steak on a super heated rock slab') and Church House Inn.

September 2003 Excellent Site. The grounds and facilities are very nice and the owners are very helpful, for example, the Gas Bottle was getting low and I spoke to the owner and he lent me a full bottle to swap to if it ran out during the night.

July 2003 I would like to endorse the comments of the previous reviewer. Old Cotmore Farm is a delightful site in a beautiful area. The site is well sheltered – a fact we were very grateful for on a very windy and wet night. The warm baguettes from the well-stocked shop were extremely welcome in the morning. Family groups are placed around the larger field on the site where there is ample room for games and a climbing frame and swings to play on. For more exuberant games, there is a larger empty field further up the site. Table tennis and table football can also be played in a covered area. Although none are within easy walking distance, there are several pubs (most of them free-houses) serving good food in the local villages a few minutes drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at this friendly and well-run site and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

(last visit) October 2002 Old Cotmore Farm is a wonderful campsite, it caters for both campers and caravaners. The site itself is in a lovely sheltered position there is a stream along the one edge and trees around too. The facilities are very good, with three showers each for men and women several toilets, and wash basins too all are included in the price. There are also washing up facilities and washing machines and driers too. The site is fairly easily accessable for the disabled, with a seperate shower and toilet facility. It is only a short drive from some of the counties loveliest scenery, Start Point is just a short drive or walk away, as are Dartmouth and Salcombe. Each time we have gone there, the owners have been there to greet us, and are always in hand for any problems or queries you may have. All in all it is a wonderful place to spend a week or two, well maintained, clean and friendly I recommend it very highly.
