This site is in an excellent location, close to beach and small village with shops/bars however, the site facilities need upgrading, the toilet / shower block is breeze block with a tin roof. The hot water ran out very early in the morning. There was signs up regarding keeping dogs on leads but this was not adhered to, some owners let their dogs roam.

The site is at the end of the RAF Valley runway and if you like planes you will be well pleased.

Staff at the site were very friendly and helpful.

We spent a night here at Easter, revisiting an area (and, indeed this campsite) for the first time in 25 years.

We found the site as good as ever, with a fantastic location within easy walking distance of Rhosneigr, and with the beach literally just across the road.

Very friendly and relaxed attitude from the owners, and while the site is far from level in places we had no trouble finding a good spot which gave us great views.

Our only reservation was that there seemed to be a lot of permanently-sited caravans, which could make it difficult to find a spot for tourers in the high season.

Me,my brother and 2 cousins camped here for 4 days and had a brilliant time, the weather was roasting hot and we couldn't get enough of this place.

The beaches around here are great with lots to do and the camp site is a nice place to have a laugh and relax.

The chip shop in Roshneigr is really good but very busy at the weekend, worth queueing for though!

Cant wait to go back next year for a week!

This campsite is situated about 500yds from the end of one of RAF Valleys runways, which is brilliant for aviation enthusiasts as you can watch the aircraft land and takeoff. The aircraft don't fly on the weekend giving a welcome noise break to those who aren't over keen.

The pitch fee was a very reasonable rate (£50 for five nights).

Dogs are welcome at this site.

On arrival we were given the choice to stay in the touring field or the tent field which is further back and has very steep slopes. We chose the touring field near the fence directly in line with the end of the runway and did not find the noise to be a nuisance from either the road or the runway.

The ablution block was clean with plenty of hot water. There was an electric socket in the ladies for hairdryers and the like.

A mobile van promising sumptuous breakfasts did not open during the six days we were there which was slightly disappointing especially as it was high season. However there are plenty of eateries in the town (20mins walk) along with grocers, chippy's and surf shops.

Another haven for those into water sports.

The weather was appalling during our visit being at the tail end of hurricane Billy, the slight incline of our pitch made sure we didn't get swamped. We still found plenty to do and enjoyed the campsite and so are looking forward to revisiting the site in better weather conditions.

The site is not level, but still manageable. Toilet block is basic but clean, I personally didnt have any problems with hot water. Now the great thing about this site, you only have to cross over the road and you are on Rhosneigr Beach which is stunning. Owners very nice and helpful, fully charged our battery which had run low.

Would definitely return again to visit the beautiful beach.

We came, we camped. We got wet! Great site for aviation enthusiasts - love the special fly past from the Valley boys. Weather could have been better, but we were privileged to be with a caravan so the worst weather was spent in the van!
Superb views, friendly welcome, clean facilities, tent withstood the rain and wind, usual friendly bunch of campers. What more do you need? Would definitely return.

The tenting field is reasonably large and you can pitch where you want. Unfortunately we visited the site on a very wet and windy Bank Holiday and felt the pitches were not very sheltered from the elements. There are also some spots on the field which slightly slope so be careful where you set up camp.

There are two sets of facilities. One set across the road from the tenting field which are open til 9.30pm and the other set was located in the middle of a mixture of touring / static caravans. Depending where you are camped on the tenting field they could be a bit of trek for those with young children however as an adult couple we found their location to be fine. Facilities were basic but very clean despite muddy and wet boots clomping through them throughout the weekend. As mentioned in the previous post if you want a shower its best to be up early for the warm water and also to beat the queues.

Just down the road from the campsite (5 mins drive, 20 mins walk) is a small village with a chip shop, pub, convenience store, surf shops and a few cafes. The main entrance onto the beach is also located through the village and is very popular with water sports enthusiasts.

Campsite costs were reasonable, £6 per adult per night. Would recommend the campsite.

The site was busy with many regular visitors, The aircraft were active but never fly at weekends so we were fine. The owners were helpful with good local information to hand, they patrol the site regularly to maintain order and collect fees. Access is non restricted so we came and went as we pleased. The toilets are cleaned regularly but as the showers at no extra cost the 'early bird definitely catches the worm' with regards to hot water.

We were lucky to get in as this popular site is always busy. We loved the resort and on a hot day it beat many of the foreign destinations that we have visited. The surf shop does a good deal on hiring water sports stuff and the village has many little eateries. Can't wait til next year!
