Just like Peter Simmons, I bought one of these last year.I also thought that a German tent would be reliable. How wrong can you get? We went to Turkey in September, and in the slightest bad weather, the seams leaked (even though I'd sealed them - this was due to bad sewing - the strong points weren't, so the peg loops pulled apart, and in the end the poles split. I emphasise that this was not used in extreme weather, and that the rain, and wind was not exceptional. After the poles went, we threw the tent in a bin in Greece, and slept in the van on the way home.
I wrote off the cost down to experience.
I cannot recommend this tent for ANY purpose.

Having borrowed a relative's ancient tent previously, we decided to splash out on a new one, and having seen tunnel tents on campsites which seemed stable, we opted for one. Knowing nothing about makes, I searched on Ebay and eventually settled on one which seemed just what we wanted, a Leben Aachen, which sounded German so was bound to be efficient and together. Wrong!
First time erecting we discovered missing pegs and one guy point that was barely sewn on and detached when pressure was put on it. Other faults included the worst sewing I've seen round the windows which failed to connect on several points. So far so bad, but what was in store was worse.
When the weather turned rough the tent pitched and distorted, something I had never seen happening with tunnel tents before. We had a few days of winds and rain which would have been fine normally, but the tent just couldn't take it and eventually one of the poles splintered. We made repairs as best we could with string and sticky tape, but my wife was so concerned at the movement and possibility of total collapse that she slept [uncomfortably] in the vehicle that night, and our grandaughter slept with relatives whose tent had spare capacity.
The tent didn't collapse, but it was touch and go and many times I was woken with the wet roof slapping me in the face! Then the weather turned nice again, and we coped till the end of the holiday.
I wouldn't recommend this tent. It was shoddily made from inadequate materials and unsuitable for an English summer. Water entered the windows frequently past ill-fitting covers, and the poles were not up to the task of supporting it in winds, which were not the worst they could be. As a tent to put up for the kids in the garden it would be ok, if somewhat overlarge, for a holiday when the weather might turn, it was wholly inadequate. I complained to Ebay and was given a full refund but no compensation for a ruined holiday.
