Purchased this tent with a two week trip to France in mind and it ticks many of the boxes. Packs small and light, has fantastic living space (we have had 8 shelter inside in comfort sat on fishing chairs), kept us dry through very English drizzle and is very easy to pitch and pack.
Having said all that, it won't be coming to France with us. We have used it for three weekend trips to the New Forest this year and it is already falling apart. First problem is that the poles appear to be about an inch longer than they need. This means you need every ounce of strength to force the pin into the pole. Unfortunately the tent wasn't upto the job and the pin and ring assembly ripped from the canvas and now hang by a couple of threads. (Oddly, these last two threads are strong enough to allow the tent to still pitch properly).
Much of the stitching on the inner tents is substandard and is slowly coming apart leaving holes for insects and spiders to creep through. Finally the stitching on the pole sleeves has started to give. Other little annoyances were lack of hanging hooks for lamps etc and insufficient pegs to pitch the tent.
We will probably continue to use it for weekend trips to the New Forest until it will not longer stand but it will be a better quality tent coming with us to France this summer.

Bought one of these from ebay. Couldn't put it up, even with 2 of us, and when we finally managed to force one of the poles round to the ring and pin, the whole attachment ripped off. Sent back - full refund. What's the point of a tent that requires superhuman (or muscle man) strength to put up and can't withstand the tension required any more than we could!

Love the shape, style and size of this tent. It has a brilliant living area space. But at such low cost, I should have expected it to be poor quality. The guyropes were very poorly stitched and pulled off too easily. There weren't enough guyropes. The window covers only held closed by two small squares of velcro, when it rained, the water just came in and we had puddles on the groundsheet. The poles din't break but the tent was very unstable in the wind. Gutted, loved this tent in the dry and no wind!
