I wanted to pass on some initial thoughts given that I've taken delivery of the tent and have played with it in the garden. I'll add to the review when I've actually slept in it, but given that there isn't too much info on the European version of the tent, someone might find this useful.
First impressions are good. It went up quickly and without fuss. I need to practice putting it away though. There is a knack to it. But even if you get it wrong, it'll still be quick. Sturdy too - it's really taught. There is enough room for 2 + 2 with the large windows helping the airy feel to the tent.
The dark(er) bedrooms are similar to any other Coleman design. So far so good. It really is a doddle and will play a specific role: fast weekend trips with no kitchen sink. I'm beginning to plan a bit of a tour for the Summer but need shorter hops if the toddler isn't going to find a long journey an ordeal; I could take the Instant tent for a brief overnight en route to somewhere distant, then pitch the McKenzie cabin etc when we reach the final destination.
I haven't gone off topic here - I've described a perfect use for the tent.
P.S. Beware the folded size. It's 'longer and thinner' and may not fit into your car - check this out carefully.
