A great tent with loads of space and dead easy to put up and take down. I have managed to erect it single-handedly although I wouldn't recommend it!

We have camped in all weathers including strong winds and torrential rain with no problems at all.

I also bought the Vango porch that goes with this and that was a brilliant use of 80. It means on wet days you have somewhere to cook whilst everyone is inside the main part of the tent. Also means there is somewhere for shoes etc.

Bought this tent after 20 years of not going camping. We have 3 young children and the tent has plenty of room. We bought a carpet from Khyam as it is exactly the same tent as the Ontario 8 and cost less and is a better fit than the Attwools own carpet. My wife and I can get the tent fully erected in 20-30mins.

We had some rain, and the tent did us proud.

Packing away is easy and my wife can actually get it all packed away into its bag.

Overall a great tent and cost us 285 now reduced to 249, but still more expensive than the Khynam, which is exactly the same.

We bought one of these second hand, and have now used it in anger!

As I've subsequently found out, this is actually made by Khyam, which is good, and is almost identical to the Ontario/Quebec 8, just colours and small differences each year mark them out. Attwoolls chose wisely when getting a tent branded for them. It also means getting spares/extras etc is very easy as the Khyam Ontario is massively popular.

Lets start with the easy bit, setting up.

It's a pole/sleeve tent, so just 5 poles (all colour coded) are slotted through 5 sleeves on the tent. Just a little retaining pin is slotted into the end of each pole, and the basic tent is up! All you need to do then is peg it out.

It's super easy with 2 people, I even had my 4 year old boy give me a hand and we managed it between us, he just help the odd bit up to stop it falling over. With two adults, it's a nice calm process, with no real effort involved.

The bedrooms are 3 separate units, a 4 berth, and 2 2 berths, you have the option of using them or not, the 4 berth has a removable dividing sheet, and all bedrooms have a 2 layer door (mesh/full). The bedrooms are large, each double bedroom can take a double mattress with room to spare, you walk into the bedrooms, and can easily stand up to change etc. We used a kingsize airbed in the larger bedroom, and had a lot of room left. There are little storage pockets at the sides of the bedrooms to.

The main living area is also huge, we had a double table, 4 chairs, storage and cooking units, and could still walk around easily. For our family of 4 it felt like a large caravan!

If you don't use all the bedrooms, and leave one end 'free' there is an extra end door that can be used, great for it you want wide access, and are then left with a truly cavernous living area!

The sewn in ground sheet can be lowered by each side/end door allowing you to brush the tent out easily, and also reduce the trip hazard if you so wish.

The only minor complaint is the end door does not 'zip' to the ground sheet, so there is a small gap where wind can get in etc. We are going to get some Velcro sewn in to close this up, to make it even more secure.

In high winds, being a tunnel tent, with the doors closed, there is nothing to catch the wind, so it didn't move an inch whilst several other tents had lifted pegs etc.

Heavy rain proved it didn't leak! all zip coverings worked well, and the small skirt around the outside even stopped any rain getting on the extra 'footprint' we used.

Packed up, the bag is quite small, and probably the least of anyones worries considering the rest of the kit that needs to be taken (our 4 mummy sleeping bags take up more room then the tent does!).

I would highly recommend this tent (or the Khyam tunnel tents) to anyone.

This is a fantastic family tent. Plenty of room on wet days to entertain in the centre. Easy access with doors on each side and a large opening at one end. Can have all the pods or two out of three for bedrooms which means the children can have one each or share and also with bedrooms at each end privacy for parents at night. Easy to put up and with the luck we have weather wise, plenty of wind and rain, we have had no problems with the tent blowing away or leaking. Thoroughly recommend this tent

A fabulous tent. It is a really easy tent to erect. The instructions are a bit confusing so the first time it took about an hour but I think that Attwools estimate of 25mins is fair once you are used to it, It really is very simply that the instructions can then be thrown away. The space inside is well laid out and rooms can be swapped around and removed as your needs require. A third door is available at one end if you decide that you do not need a room there. Or, you could remove one or more rooms during the day and put them up at night. Each bedroom also has its own ground sheet. Storage pockets are also good.

The best features are the integral ground sheet, bedroom size, headroom and the quality of seams and zips. It is also worth buying the sun awning for this tent as it provides a large 'wet' storage area and covered cooking area if needed. I highly recommend this tent.

We are about to go into our 3rd year of holidaying in this tent (having had two or three holidays a year) and we have had absolutely no problems with it at all. We are two adults and a child but this could comfortably take more than this without feeling over crowded.

It is very easy to put up and lovely and spacious inside, nice and tall so you can easily stand up. (I am 5'8' and cannot touch the roof of the living compartment when it is up) There are doors and windows both sides of the tent which is very convenient and the bedrooms are very easy and quick to clip in.

We have also purchased the awning for this which is perfect for storing the cooker, chairs or even taking shoes off before going into the tent in wet conditions.

We were away last year during the terrible wind and rain and this tent did us proud, I hope this lasts us for a couple more years yet.
