2 Reviews of the Canopy

Similar to the previous review . We use our canopy with our Aztec Galeria 4 once or twice a year. It is excellent at keeping the rain off when cooking and sitting outside. The frame is very strong but the Canopy is let down by the quality of the hooks and guy points. We have had a couple of the hooks that hold the fly sheet break and the same tear issue as my fellow owner above.

That said we wouldn't be with out it when using our Aztec tent.

We bought this a few years ago, but it doesn't come out much, mainly due to it's weight!

The canopy is well sized, ideal as a base when we take three small tents. The proper tent framing makes it stable when garden gazebos are getting trashed.

But. Every time we get it out of the bag, something goes wrong. The first time it was used, a tear appeared. I repaired this with dacron stitched over both sides. The next time it came out, a tear appeared in the same place on the other side. The angle of tension in this particular place puts a lot of strain on the cloth and the edge binding. I've now patched all places I consider likely to break.

A hole has appeared, probably caused by one of the hooks while packed up. A hook has now broken, duct tape came to the rescue.

The guylines are too stretchy for my liking, but low stretch lines might put more strain on the cloth in bad weather, so I'll stick with these. Replacing the pegs with Delta Pegs is always a good idea.

The idea is good, but I feel a bit let down with the number of failures.
