1 Reviews of the Bushcraft 5m Bell Tent

By: Lizgiz  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2001   Rating:

It's a beautiful big airy tent that has kept us cool-ish in 36C in the summer when friends' synthetic tents became saunas, and we've been toasty in March when there was frost on the tent in the morning. With the addition of our homemade flysheet, we've been dry in an incredible deluge too. We've been using this as our tent of choice for 8 years now. My family, including 6'5' husband and his large campbed, 2 teenagers on airbeds, me on double airbed with the family dog all fit in well, together with all the usual gear. It takes 25 mins from driving onto a site, to unload and pitch tent. If I was buying one now, I'd pay the extra and have a zipped door, but I wouldn't change anything else. It has sisal guy ropes, wooden poles and lovely carved wooden pegs. We love our bell tent!

Manufacturer's Description

One complete piece of strong hard-wearing 400gms white canvas offers you a haven from the elements - protecting from both rain or sun - with the additional welcome feature of sides that roll up providing relief on sweltering hot summer days.

There is no zip to jam or break - the front simply laces up in the traditional manner. The groundsheet fits perfectly and tucks under the hessian skirt keeping out the draughts.

The Bushcraft Bell Tent is straightforward to erect - needing only a couple of people.
