1 Reviews of the Beyond Nebula 3

By: Beckysmommy  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2010   Rating:

I bought the canopy in 2011 from the Gelert Ebay outlet - real bargain (45) and I was very impressed with the quality, so when I spotted the matching tent for sale new in 2012 I had to buy it for a small weekend/1 night tent. (NB: I originally used the Nebula 3 canopy with a Vango Aspen and it worked very well)

The Nebula 3 is a dream to put up - just 3 aluminium bendy poles which seem very lightweight and flexible but not as prone to snapping as fibreglass style.

All in one fully sewn in groundsheet and high end finish - curtains, all doors/windows have mesh screens as does the inner bedroom pod. Brow pool over the side door seems to provide some rain cover when dashing to the loo late at night when it is raining!

For a relatively tiny footprint it's great to be able to stand inside. There is enough room for 2 chairs and the fridge and stuff as well as a little table (for wine!) There are electric cable access points left and right, plenty of guys - even the pegs were a decent quality!

All in all, with a 30 minutes pitch time, I am very pleased with this. We only had light rain on the 'trial' test so I cant really comment as to that - though the 5000HH rating reassures me. The Beyond range by Gelert was super high quality when it was marketed and that is apparent when you look at the kit - albeit at a bargain price in my case due to it being old stock (125)

Manufacturer's Description

The Gelert Nebula 3 tent is the ideal weekend tent for a couple or single person. It has an all-in-one pitching system allowing the tent to be erected in minutes. As this tent is part of Gelerts beyond range it still benefits from superb features such as a high waterproof standard, fire retardancy, sewn-in groundsheet and stronger poles. The additional canopy provides a neat area for taking off muddy boots and wet coats on those unlikely rainy days!
