1 Reviews of the Karrimor X Lite X1

By: Outdoorsy  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2012   Rating:

I purchased this tent 2 weeks ago to use cycle touring this summer. Did quite a bit of research into 1 man tents looking at features and price points, and this Karrimor stood out as offering a good spec for the price. Pitched it in the garden when it arrived and very impressed with the quality and detail. Well made tent. Tried it out wild camping at the weekend and it performs well. Quick to pitch with the interconnected poles, hook the inner on then fling the flysheet over the top. Thought it was strange that the flysheet lacked a vent cowl on top, then my mate pointed out the double zipper on the flysheet door functions as a vent when opened slightly from the top. This idea worked well, no condensation drip issues at all.

In summary: Good quality, nice details, understandable instructions (unlike some!) and bargain. Can't wait to try it out again.

Manufacturer's Description

New for 2012, the Karrimor X Lite X1 is a lightweight solo backpacking tent featuring anodised alloy poles with pole hub connectors. The inner first pitching tent design can be used without flysheet for weight saving in dryer climates or with the flysheet in wet conditions.

The Karrimor X Lite Tent range offers a great balance between performance and pack weight. Designed for backpacking adventures, but equally at home on the campsite. The small and light packsize makes this ideal for attaching to rucksacks, bikes and motorcycles.
