1 Reviews of the Mountain Hardwear Casa 6

By: Chrismartinuk  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2010   Rating:

I just got back from a weekend up in Snowdon camping with this.

Gale force 8 gusting force 10 for most of the night, and this stood up really well. Bearing in mind that this is a big tent, it really took the battering of the storms!

It was very easy to put up, the instructions are basic, but it is quite obvious how it goes together.

The tent only comes with two guy ropes! BUY MORE!

I ended up double guying this on all the points as the wind was so bad! I guess in summer, you could get away with the two.

Some really nice touches with this tent - inside is huge. All around the sides are pockets to put gear and helps keep the tent tidy! The pockets are huge too - easy big enough for some books!

The vestibule is big enough to cook in if you have the inner doors open. The poles are odd though- there is a triangle point where the poles cross over and can be confusing to lay out for putting the tent up! I managed to get this up in a good wind single handed. Very easy!

My only criticism of the tent is this - you will have to be a genius to get this back into the ridiculously small bag. It is so big, it is very hard to fold it up so I have used an old holdall to keep the lot in!
