We stumbled across this tent in August 2010 at a Millets promo, Several tents were available to view and they had all been pitched for several days in heavy rain, it was an ideal opportunity to see how they all stood up to the weather.
We were impressed by the quality and space inside the Torridon (it was also the tent the promo guys chose to stay in!). We bargained on the price and threw in the 'Scouts card' and took it away for £250.
We have now used it several times, it is easily and quickly put up by two people. We find it draught free because of the SIG although nicely ventilated when needed. It holds up well to strong winds (due to the slug like shape!). Inside is light due to the three windows and the skylight and airy, both doors have fly-screens.
The only downfall seems to be getting the angle of the V between the pods correct. If the angle is too wide the SIG will tense up and raise above the ground, this also makes putting in the sleeping pods difficult.
This is easily rectified however by a couple of minutes jiggling and manoeuvring and a little practice.
We took a risk going for a tent new to the market but someone has to.I'm glad we did!

Brought this in 2010. Did no research before buying, as the price was right, and the Berghaus name. As a virgin camper I suppose I struck lucky. We used it for a short break at the end of last summer and had very strong winds and rain, and the tent held up well with no leaks. It is easy enough to pitch and for a family of four it has loads of room. Also there is not many about so easy to find in a busy campsite.Lol!
