I bought this tent on the basis that it met a number of criteria:
1/ No necessity to thread poles in sleeves
2/ Easy and fast to erect outer first and take down/pack away
3/ Sufficient headroom to stand up in
4/ Capable of 3 season usage
5/ Packs small enough to fit in a motorcycle pannier *
(*The pole sections are a little too long for this, but I've ordered another section so I can cut them all down to meet my requirement)
Top score on almost all counts.
So far, has shrugged off gale force winds and torrential downpours without drama.
I use the tent with a heavyweight 2.5m x 3m poly tarp as a footprint and only put up the nest if there are a lot of bugs around.
Once the mat and bag are stowed in the morning, I have the entire floor space free and in this tent, could almost throw a party.
Highly recommended.
