1 Reviews of the Dusk 5

By: BRYANMITCH  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2015   Rating:

The Dusk is go outdoors version of this tent. I think it is also sold as the Earth 5. Ok for a weekender as it says on the description but I wouldnt like to subject it to any heavy weather. Easy enough to erect with 2 people flysheet first then hang the inner from colour co-ordinated toggles before inserting the loose bath-tub groundsheet. Inner can then be left in place for all in one pitching next time out.

I thought the gaps between tent walls and the sides of the groundsheet were unacceptably large and resorted to using clothes pegs to nip the front door and groundsheet together at the front door area. Also unimpressed by the fixing system where the groundsheet toggles pass through holes in material flaps extending out from the tent walls-I doubt they would stand up to a windy day.

It is a very light and airy tent.Light coloured outer and white inner. Great for daytimes if you wish to sit in your tent but it also means you will probably be up at daybreak.

In summary. Ok for a cheap introduction to camping or occasional weekend stay for not a lot of money---but not for 'serious' camping.
