Had this tent since 2007. Brilliant for 2 people. Most important point it has steel poles !. Perfect for any weather. Wonderful airey tent. Mesh windows and doors, loads of large windows to let light in. It has stood up to severe weather many times and survived. Overall great tent. Sad they are not made anymore.

This tent was a replacement for our first tent which was destroyed by the wind after being well used and the poles gave up. This tent is amazing with steel poles it is a lot sturdier than those with fibre glass poles it was very windy the first night we used it and it never flinched just slight movement on the walls, very easy to erect and take down, the fitted ground sheet makes it extremely good in wet weather. I would recommend the Minnesota 4 to anyone

Bought second hand , had had a slight repair done professionally , only cost ฃ70.00 , just done 5 days at beech croft farm derbyshire , had a 3 hour massive thunderstorm . DRY AS A BONE ! seemed slightly small due to me having massive tents before, last was a khyam ontario . This was much more stable , more windows , girlfriend managed to fall and leave a 6' rip in the wall shes a bit accident prone! (a lot she could break an anvil) repaired with the patches which were still in the pack , done just before the storm . I love this tent ! if it was 2 foot longer in the living area (which is just me wanting a bit more room , but next time will take my cooking tent) i'd marry it and have its babies . Buy one now .

We love this tent. It is just right for two of us, giving us a 'spare' bedroom to put all our stuff in (including a little portable night loo), thus keeping the living area pretty free of clutter. It is very snug, with having the sewn in ground sheet. We also have a 'footprint', a groundsheet that is exactly the right size for the tent, and made by Outwell. This really makes a big difference when putting the tent up and taking it down. If the ground is wet when putting it up, it gives a dry area to put the tent on to get it organised; and when taking the tent down, the sewn in groundsheet comes up clean, and you only need to clean up the footprint. Really works well. As others have said, it is very sturdy, and withstands the weather well. Make sure you put the doors on the other side from the wind, and you can get in and out very easily even in horrible weather. Outwell tents are very well thought out; e.G. There is a really useful set of pockets in between the two bedrooms, and we use these all the time to keep little bits and pieces in so we don't lose them. Lots of 'window' area, with roll up/down blinds, so the living area feels very open.

After a camping disaster where are tent(cheap B&Q)was destroyed by wind and rain and either side stood Outwell tents which took no damage, it convinced us to purchase one. It goes up very quickly and has been out in all weather with no ill affect. We have 4 kids and use the extension with it so only use the tent for sleeping and it is great. Plenty of storage and stands up to what ever the weather throws at you, also looks cool

After using many different types i.E. Vango, Gelert and others I have found the Minny 4 to be an excellent tent.

I can erect it on my own within 30 mins. Last used in the Forest of Dean June 2013, where we had the very high winds and lashing rain. It stood up to everything thrown at it. I like it so much I'm now looking for the front extension, and selling all my other tents.

We owned this tent. Thought it was brilliant. We've recently upgraded to the Montana 6P 2013 model with awning for size. We are a family of 4, and the Minnesota 4 was the perfect size until we added a little puppy to our family.

The Minnesota 4 is spacious enough for 4. We spent many a rainy day inside and although a little squashed for space, all four of us managed to get our chairs around a table to play cards! :)

When pitching this tent, I recommend following the YouTube videos. We attempted our own method first time, and took hours. After watching the videos, we were able to pitch this tent in 10 minutes! Brilliant

The poles are a little tight when added the rings, and the side door was tight when the rain safe pole was in, but it never damaged our zips and lining.

Overall. We rate this tent 10 out of 10 and we're hoping we enjoy the larger style Montana 6P just as much!

Happy camping!

This is a good quality tent.I use when it is windy or wet.It is fine for two adults and a couple of kids , if you are tidy. The living area is ok but you need to keep kids clear of the cooking area in this size of tent.It is quick to put up (around 10 mins. ), but may need some strength to put the pins into the base of the poles.I expect this tent to last a long time.I have a front extension but it is not often needed.

We love our tent using it for 2-3 times a year for long weekends. It's big and spacious, and as I'm 6ft 4' this is great.

There were leaks but I fixed them with seam sealant and re proofed the fly sheet.

But this year one of the side door Fiber glass poles broke at the joint. I replaced it with the spare but the others started splitting.

I contacted Outwell they said 'We do stock spare poles/parts for different tent models, but as we do not sell directly to private customers we kindly ask that you contact your local Outwell dealer. But I've had no luck. Very poor customer service!

Fab tent, even just for the 2 of us. Like the fact that we can use the whole pod or split it in to 2 or take one side down, though we have found that using the whole pod as one worked the best, as it means you don't have to get out to collect clothes to get changed or stand on your airbed to go to bed.

Would have liked to get a porch/extension for the tent to make it easier for exit and entry as the small side porch is good unless the rain is heading directly in that side so will be keeping that in mind when we upgrade/replace this one.

As others have said the poles make the tent feel sturdy even windy conditions, it is the little fibre glass pole for the side porch that effects the tension on the zips for the door as we can never get it even every time we pitch.

Have broken the guy rope tag on the left side of the door by the guy rope 'sawing' through it. Have seen similar on our friend's 2007 Nebraska 8 man.
