2 Reviews of the Karakum 2 + 2

I bought this little pop up tent for short stays for 1 or 2 persons with more room for storage than the average pop up.

It is very easy to pitch - it almost does it itself and is very secure with only 6 or so pegs plus 8 guy ropes for extra security. It weathered a heavy downfall with no leaks whatsoever and has ample room to cook under cover if required.

As with all of the pop up variety of tents the dismantling and re-packing of the tent is a YouTube bonanza for the first few times and so best done during the early hours or practice at home before you go.

Obviously not designed for the backpacker but overall a very good quick-erect tent with ample room for two and lots of baggage.

A fab little pop up tent. We got this after buying the Dart DS200 for overnight stops, as we needed something for weekend stops with our dogs. This has plenty of room - a 2 man bedroom and then ample room for another 2 people and their stuff in the living area.

It's easy to pitch, only takes a few minutes more than the Vango Dart and is easier to get back in the bag as you only have to fold it once. You can leave the inner bedroom tent hung inside when packing so it's all in one. There is a wide windflap around the outer door which enables the door to be open slightly to prevent condensation, without rain coming in. Organiser pockets in the bedroom allow for storage of items to be kept close to hand and there is a pocket for storing the inner door when not in use. A fab little tent!
