3 Reviews of the Spectrum 500

By: Anne leeds  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2014   Rating:

Just returned from a very successful Bank Holiday away in this tent and found it fantastic. Easy to put up, easy to take down. The three air beams only took about ten pumps each to inflate. Tons of room in the separate bedroom areas. We used one for storage. The additional netting on the doorways provided fresh air but kept out the draft. It has little velcro straps to keep the guy ropes from knotting therefore keeping my husband from stressing. Love it, love it, love it!

Just bought this tent. Used it for two weeks in France. Pitching it 3 times, worked great. All fine, weathered a rain storm no problems. Even with one corner underwater!. Worth buying the footprint too! One thing, tree sap dripped on it. Email Vango, didn't receive a great response upto now!. Asked how I get it off.

Just bought brand new one.The tent is fine easy to put up and seems very rigid but the pump supplied with it is a piece of c**p,very poorly made it leaks around screw on cylinder lid and around bayonet connections on gauge and relief valve. It almost impossible to get to 7 psi as recommended by Vango!

Manufacturer's Description

The Spectrum tent is new to the Vango AirBeam range and is ideal for weekend breaks because it has loads of living space but only three beams that make it a quick and easy tent to pitch. The three full head height beams have pre-bends meaning the walls of the tent are more vertical providing more usable living space. By using beams encased in a double skinned, highly robust, sleeve system we have created a reliable tent that allows you to camp with confidence. All this coupled with easy and quick to pitch Vango AirBeam technology makes this an ideal short break tent.
