I've been a scout leader for over 50 years, had a few of this series of tents, as far I'm aware they're the best budget tents ever made. A lot of the expensive lightweight tents from this period used a material groundsheet that leaked under pressure. Never had a problem with any of them, well designed, waterproof, even come with lights. Bought this Cygnus 111 for £10 a gift, can't recommend them enough.

Recently unpacked this tent which I last used 8 years ago. Decided to take it on my trip to Orkney as the caravan would be impractical. I like the height which means I don't have to crawl in and out and can get dressed easily. Easy to pitch and get back into its generous bag. Plenty of space for storeage and the porch helps keep the weather and wind out.
Previously been to Snowndonia and Highlands and never had a problem with it.

Great tent that is easy to erect in all weathers. There is enough room for 3 people or 2 with some space for storage. I have had this tent out in all weathers on the side of a mountain and it has never let me down.
Some tent companies seem to forget that we humans often struggle to get a tent back in the bag once it has actually been used, not Blacks, this tent comes with a slightly oversized bag that allows quick and easy stowage every time.

What attracted me to this tent was that it packed away in a bag small enough to fit in the top box of my motorcycle and still have room for a double airbed, Rubber / fabric Argos type, a rechargeable air pump and some other bits & pieces.
Easy to erect and has served me well in sun, wind, rain, snow & deep frost conditions, minus 10 degrees a few times!
Sleeps two, but perfect for lone camping.

From Blacks/Millets, the outdoor specialist. This is a two man, spacious porched dome tent.
"With such an abundance of tents available, choosing one that's right can often go wrong. Luckily, the cutting-edge Cygnus Dome Tent has it all leaving you confident that you've invested in a timeless piece of kit.
Standout features include an ultra spacious porch which you can hang wet gear out to dry on and use as a mobile kitchen, a superior 2000mm Hydrostatic Head meaning not a speck of rain will creep in and a clip and ball joint constellation enabling you to erect the tent quickly and effortlessly.
For those ferocious elements which seem to conveniently arrive on festival weekend, there are Durawrap poles composed of criss-cross fibres which add unbeatable strength."
