I bought a Cabanon Montpelier for the family in 1993 and added an awning porch the followng year. We've used it for our 2 or 3 week North Cornwall holiday every summer, bar three, since then.
We find that the porch is essential when the weather is inclement because it provides good protection from rain blowing onto the front door.
Pitching and striking is a routine exercise and can be done by two, although a 3rd/4th pair of arms makes it even easier!
With the two zipped sleeping inner compartments (a 4 birth with drop-down curtain, and a 2 birth) it provides more than ample accommodation; we've only ever slept four, but six would easily be 'doable', albeit on a more cosy scale.
The kitchen extension with ventilated net window (with roll-up/down zipped window) provides good space for a cooking stand and there is loads of floor space for a fridge, 3 storeage boxes, and a fruit/vegetable stand. The main living area easily accommodates a table and six chairs, whilst leaving space between it and the kitchen/sleeping compartments.
The Montpelier has provided totally weather-proof and secure accommodation throughout all these years and continues to do so. With multiple tie-down points around the skirts it has coped with everything that nature has thrown at us and continues to do so.
Yes, it was relatively expensive at the time of purchase, but what an investment it has proved to be. We take great care to clean and store it bone dry (it lives in the attic) and a consequence of that is that it still maintains its vibrant two-tone blue/light blue colour.
Every year we consider whether or not we should change the tent and every year we come to the same conclusion; no! It may now be considered to be old fashioned, but the quality of accommodation remains second to none but we love it and have no intention to part with what has, essentially, become an integral part of our lives. Counting back, it's actually been our home for over one full year of life.
We've been very fortunate.

Super in rain and shine. Very roomy, easy to erect. There was only two of us camping in the Loire valley so we use the smaller bedroom as a changing room. The extra awning is a must as well. I can't recommend this tent enough. Haven't seen any for sale lately, but if you get the chance buy one for a great camping experience.
