What do you want from a tent? Easy erection? space? protection from the elements? trusted brand?
This tent ticks all the boxes, with the possible exception of the first. Being a five-pole tent and, because of its semi-geodesic design, it isn't the easiest tent to put up. I did it on my own, to test the easiness, and I have to say I've erected simpler tents.
That said, provided you're not a complete moron with an inability to read instructions and do sensible things, it goes up pretty quickly. First time, on my own, thirty minutes. Next time, it'll be twenty.
One of the problems I have with the design of a lot of tents is that the doors slope - this means that rain gets in when you open the door and it also means you cannot leave a door open when it is raining. The Khyam Alberta has a porch roof on each side door, each with an overhang sufficient to provide shelter. These mini-roofs are held in position using pole and sleeve supports and, first time out, it was a struggle getting each mini-pole into place. I daresay this will improve.
Inside, bags of space. A huge, single bedroom which is suspended from a whole lot of points (unlike bedrooms in own-brand and cheaper tents). Plenty of room for at least three people and a whole lot of gear.
The living area is a similar size and there's a tremendous feeling of lightness and airiness, with curtained windows on the roof and doors. There are also two, un-curtained, floor-level windows at the front - so beware of Peeping Toms shuffling towards your tent on their bellies.
There is a hook-up entry point in the centre of the tent, with a sock-sleeve which can be closed, and a velcro-tab cable-way up one side. There are lantern points in the living area and the bedroom.
Plenty of vents, the two on the doors having curtains.
Erected, it is a very stable tent and I cannot imagine it flattening in the wind. It's a beautiful and slightly unusual shape which is sure to stand out among the generic and increasingly ubiquitous tunnel tents out there.
Furthermore, this is last year's tent and it can be had for a hundred quid at places such as Somerset Camping.
All in all, an excellent tent which looks the business and the 5000mm hydrostatic head should keep out even the most determined rain.

A great weekender or touring tent. The semi geodesic structure provides a strong and robust shelter. The small packed size is ideal for car camping too!
