We bought one of these off Ebay as we needed a large living area in a rectangular footprint so that it would fit on the electrical pitches at Freshwater Beach (our favourite site at the moment) as we used to have a large dome tent.
On the positive side it has a very spacious living area and is nice and light inside due to the colour. Pitching is fairly straightforward and doesn't take too long with two of you. It has enough room for four comfortably but I think you would have to be very good friends to fit more in if you all wanted to be in the sleeping pods as the two outer ones are very snug, but suited our kids very well.
The ventilation is good but like a lot of tents I have experienced it will get warm inside when left during a hot sunny day, but cools down well when the windows and doors are opened.
We found the tent to be waterproof in the conditions we have had with it but I can't guarantee that in really heavy rain and high winds as no experience of that.
I have only given this 7 out of 10 for a couple of reasons. The ground sheet (separate) is larger than the fly sheet so sticks out the sides and this can lead to water running in. In stronger winds we found that the poles in the small canopies over the windows on the side tended to pop out of their eyelets but this was only on two occasions.
The major downside of this tent is the plastic connectors that link the upright and roof poles. The first time we pitched this tent in the garden two of these connectors snapped in half as we flexed the side poles onto the pins on the ground straps. We also had one of them snap when the tent was in the garden and we had some really strong winds. I do hasten to point out that this was one of the connectors on the canopy at the front where the wind may have got underneath.
When I approached the distribution people on the website they said they would replace them if I had bought the tent brand new but unfortunately being secondhand I had to pay for them. I bought a couple of spares and also a friend of mine has manufactured a couple of metal ones that we use on the canopy.
Also the carry bag basically fell apart.
Overall a good size tent for a family of four with a large living area it was good value for money secondhand but a couple of quality issues would be annoying if bought new unless the manufacturer has seen to these since ours was made.
