This is a fantastic tent. It's not the lightest, but then if it was lighter, it would struggle to be so tough. I've used this tent in some really severe conditions (60mph gales on High Street, storms and blizzards in the Cairngorms to name but a couple) and it never, ever feels like it's not up to the job. It is about as robust a fabric structure as you can be in. The space inside is vast for a two person tent - most two person tents mean 'one person, plus a very cosy other', but the footprint is about the size of a double mattress. It's also vertically spacious - once you creep inside (the doors are low, which is about the only complaint), you can not only sit up, but almost kneel up. I have never had any condensation inside it either (well, once, when it snowed enough to cover the vents!) - the flysheet is an admirable 4-5 inches away from the inner, and a vent in each corner keeps it dry. Loads of storage including a 'gear loft'. 10 minutes to pitch (on my own, with plenty of practice) and in my experience pretty much bombproof. I have a lightweight tent which I use for many camps, but if the weather is dubious, then this is the go-to tent!

I've used my hurricane 200 in a forest next to a loch in Argyllshire in the middle of a Scottish winter sub zero temps and thrashing winds and it performed to perfection a fantastic tent,it's great it's got two doors and has plenty of room for storage, wide enough for two people but I use mine on my own for loads of space.

This is a great tent, not the lightest but still a great all rounder. In its latest use, I had it up in -2 temps at night, strong winds and rain. There was not a drop inside and I was kept comfortable at night. It is quick and easy to put up with no over complications. The design, with its tension system, vents , bathtub inner and colour coded pole slips make it the best tent I have owned and used to date.

Not a light weight but suits me to the ground. Have had this tent for a year now and has been used seven times. The first time out from the Friday night to the Sunday afternoon it rained non stop with gusts of wind, no sign of any drips, nothing got wet and it stood its ground well. Have managed to get the pitching time down from 15 minutes to 10 easily now I am getting more used to it. It has two doors and two storage areas big enough for backpacks. Four good vents keep the condensation at bay, handy storage pockets at side of tent and a small roof cradle suitable to put head torches in or a mobile. I am 5 foot 8 inches tall and can sit upright easily due to its design. The tensioning system works well and even with strong winds the flysheet has not touched the inner tent.
The tent is used mainly for D of E expeditions and at this moment in time has proved itself to be bomb proof.

Classic, four-pole geodesic symmetry with external pole sleeves, the Hurricane epitomises all that is Vango - strong, comfortable, easy to use and above all, reliable across a range of conditions from high mountain use all the way down the mountain. It is robust enough to stand all that can be thrown away at it for many years of use.
* Seam taped flysheet & groundsheet give long lasting protection from the elements. * Geodesic, self-standing design which is exceptionally stable and gives maximum protection in all weather conditions. * Double entry/rainstopper doors which are flexible and provide you with sheltered entry in all conditions. * External, continuous pole sleeves which help you pitch it easily. * Colour coded poles which help you put the correct poles in their pole sleeves. * Flysheet vents for comfort inside. * Adjustable flysheet attachments which allow variable tensioning at the base of the tent. * Bathtub inner groundsheet which gives you total climate protection and prevents insects crawling in
