Scandinavian family camping specialist, Outwell, has introduced three new family tents to its popular
Prime Air Collection
that delivers style, comfort and practical features through easy-to-pitch
inflatable designs. The range includes the Oakdale 5PA – recipient of the
Camping Editor’s Choice Award for small family tent in 2021 - see below for your chance to win one!
All offer the optimum balance of quality, performance and features perfect for comfortable, carefree camping.
the elegant colour adds class to the embossed Outtex 4000 Select fabric that complements bright, airy interiors.
Space and headroom are enhanced by the Rigid Air System’s pre-bent Rigid Air tubes,
aided by vertical front walls.
Pitching is easy, with each tube inflated independently. It is further simplified with the addition of the Outwell Floating Guyline and Lite Pegging Systems,
with stability in high winds enhanced by the Wind Brace System that sees guyline
mounting points positioned around the Rigid Air System frame. All ensure a
correctly pitched Prime Air tent can withstand a Force 9 storm.
Safe living is addressed by features such as luminous guys that can be
easily seen in poor conditions and at night to help prevent accidental tripping.
And hazards are further reduced by the Easy Access System. It allows the
groundsheet to lie flush with the ground at the D-shape doors that safely fold
and tuck to one side with the corresponding anti-bug mesh panels when not in
use.
Ventilation continues to be a priority. Large mesh panels behind all but
three-zone tent main doors, mesh panels under windows and the enhanced Rear
Ventilation System all ensure gentle airflow to help control condensation..
Sleep comfort is provided by Premier bedrooms. These feature the Dark
Inner design with a dark flysheet fabric panel above and dark curtains to close
the rear mesh. This allows fine tuning of air and light to assure sleep comfort.
The bedrooms include the award-winning Quick & Quiet Inner Doors. This system
has also been adapted for use in three-zone tents and the Quick & Quiet Access
has magnetic closure to avoid disturbing other campers when moving between
living areas.
Other features include heavy duty twin zips at the outer doors for even
easier operation, tinted windows to reduce the sun’s glare while maintain
privacy and views out, multi-position toggle-up curtains, Sewn-in Ground
System and Hook Track System to tailor hanging points.
Joining the 14-model range are:
Jacksondale 5PA − a three-zone tunnel tent that maximises flexibility
for active family campers by providing a front ‘wet’ room, living room, and
bedroom. The wet room is a versatile area perfect for a multitude of activities
like sheltered outdoor life relaxing in the shade, the storage of wet or muddy
items or for food preparation. The bedroom sleeps five in a two/three
configuration. A Rain Safe porch over one side door provide protected entry in
wet weather.
Avondale 6PA – this two-zone tent provides huge living space thanks to the
massive extended canopy that allows sheltered living for that close to nature
experience. Sleeps six in a three/three split bedroom.
Queensdale 8PA − this three-zone tent offers eight people provides all
the living room benefits of the Jacksondale 5PA but with a three/three
configured bedroom split and an extra two-person bedroom positioned between
front and middle rooms – perfect for guests, storage or remove for extra living
space.
Model-dependent optional extras include a Universal
Extension – this provides protected outdoor living with fully opening side walls
for versatile shelter. Footprints and flat woven carpets provide extra
protection, comfort and easy maintenance.
