New for 2018, the Outwell Quick Air Collection of inflatable tents is designed as a simple, affordable introduction to air technology. The Quick Air Collection provides all key features required by family campers in a quality package at highly
affordable prices. Below we've summarised the five tents in the collection ranging from 4 berth to 8 berth.
The uncomplicated family tents in the Collection pitch using the tried-and-tested Outwell Rigid Air System that’s physically the most undemanding and simplest Outwell air technology to use. It comprises individual tubes that are inflated and deflated separately via easy-access external valves, using the supplied high-capacity hand pump – or an optional Outwell electric pump for stress-free pitching.
Weather-beating performance is offered by the Outtex 3000 embossed polyester
fabric designed for Outwell. This has a 3,000mm hydrostatic head that adds
high waterproof specifications to the Force 9 wind shedding capabilities
provided by the aerodynamic design of a correctly pitched tent from this collection.
Entry is via side and front doors with mesh doors behind to help provide
ventilation free from flying insects. Inside, large tinted windows and the
Rear Ventilation System keep the environment bright and airy and privacy can
be tailored to suit using toggle-up curtains. The tents feature power ports
to the darkened inners that cut light levels to aid sleep. Optional extras for all tents include Fleece Carpet, Footprint and Inlayzzz.
Vacationer 400
The Outwell Vacationer 400 inflatable tent sleeps four in two bedrooms, and is perfect for couples, particularly if touring, or if snatching a weekend away, or for situations where pack size is a
consideration. The quick-to-pitch Rigid Air System is stable in high winds and the sloping back reduces weight and pack size while preserving standing height in the living area. The large living area is accessed via a Rain Safe side door and front entrance – both backed by mesh panels. The rear inner is separated into two bedrooms.
Up+Away 500
The Up+Away fulfils a similar function for up to five people who want a smaller easy-to-handle tent that offers good living space for shorter holidays and touring, with sleek lines uninterrupted by external features like Rain Safe porch. The sloping back reduces weight and pack size while preserving standing height in the living area.
Holidaymaker 500 and Holidaymaker 600
The popular Holidaymaker 600 and slightly smaller Holidaymaker 500 are large three-zone tunnel designs that appeal to families who appreciate the versatility of having an outer ‘wet’ area with detachable groundsheet paired with an inner living room with a sewn-in groundsheet offering protection from water, draughts and bugs. There is certainly room to spread out and enjoy holiday activities without impacting on others – something that comes into its own when sitting out the odd rainy day.
Familyfun 800
Larger families and groups will love the vis-à-vis floorplan of the Familyfun 800 that, as the name suggests, sleeps up to eight in two bedrooms that sit opposite each other across the central living area. This is lit by large tinted windows and feature two side doors with mesh panels behind - one door features a Rain Safe eyebrow porch to provide a protected entrance in the rain.
