Hello everyone

Can anyone recommend an insurance company for motor home insurance.  Presumable it would be cheaper to get the car insured with the same company as well at the same time.

Agree with Jen and Pauline. MCIA was the best quote we had for our Romahome and a number of other insurers didn't want to know as soon as I said it would also be used sometimes to go to and from work. Very helpful as well.

We have all our vehicle with Norwich Union Direct, have just phoned them to put our son on and its an extra £33 to the end of the year, also you get 14 months for the price of 12, Breakdown with MayDay

I phoned the caravan club today re insurance for the motorhome, they were £100.00 dearer than other quotes I had. Also that did not include breakdown cover.

I am going to phone some of the insurance compainies that were suggested in the previous posts. Will let you know the outcome.

I use CIS which is the co-op unfortunately i had to claim for a stolen MH they gave me top price at the time and i was very pleased with the time to resolve the claim etc.

Thats interesting, we always used CIS for home and buildings, but they got a bit pricey for what they were offering, but will check them out again when we need to renew car , van, and MH insurance

I also use the c/c  but had to claim last september because my motorhome was stolen. they have requoted for this year £140 more than others.

the reason is although i had no claim protection and they were able the claim  the full money back from the dealer whose yard the van was stolen from, it is still a fault claim ( my fault) 2 years no claim discount and claim protection lost.
