Not for us, for OH's nephew. He was married for a few years to a woman who cheated him out of everything. As he wanted to continue to live in the house, he had to pay her off.
Now he wants to do something with his mortgage, don't know what. He is required to complete CN1 but doesn't understand it. Any help or guidance please?
There will probably be a restriction on title which prevents him selling or borrowing money against the property without permission from whoever the restriction benefits, there may also be a deed covering the debt.
He will need proof from the title beneficiary that the restriction is no longer required as the debt has been paid, or for time limited restrictions it has timed out.
A conveyancing solicitor will be able to sort the paperwork.

Thanks, I will tell him this. He seems to think that I know all about it...
