The benefit to a folding camper will be little to no drag, you just have to move the weight. Also worth thinking how many you intend to have in the car. Two up, not to bad, 4 up, with kit and trailer.....you will overwork the drive train.

675kg is the average weight of 8.5 adults. plus the drag of an extra axle and any aero drag drag from your trailer tent. Load your trailer to max of 900 kg and life will get very slow indeed. 1.2 Hyundai engines are not renown for there low down torque, even solo you have to rev them to get them moving. 1.6 petrol or even better diesel.
You didn't give a year or model details for your car but a quick Google suggests the i20 1.2 has a max tow of 850 kg for a braked trailer. Towing weights will be in the handbook and on the weight plate on the car.
I have just looked it up and it is 910kg for present model so you would be right on its limit.So you may have trouble starting if you get stopped on an hill without a lot of clutch smell and also if you have the car itself loaded.
Hi all I have a 1.2 huydia i20 and in the booklet it says 750kg/850kg so can I tow a folding camper with this it's a 2013 model
