Just returned from a fantastic week of camping in Creetown Scotland. The Campsite (Castle Cary)was wonderful with loads of space and a gorgeous views from our tent. The weather was generally good most of the week with the last two days being red hot.
We spent a lot of time on the campsite relaxing and letting the kids play and make friends. The fresh air and relaxed feeling of being in the countryside has really recharged our batteries. There were some lovely walks from the site and spent hours watching the practically tame rabbits grazing near our tent. We wanted to rename the site Watership Down.
We visited two of the forestry commision 7Stanes mountain bike trails. Completing the green and blue route at Kirroughtree and the blue route at Glentroon. This filled in 3 days of activities and we all found very challenging and rewarding and a fantastic way to see the local countryside.
As a family we have all enjoyed this low cost uk holiday as much as our two weeks in Florida last year. Had such a fantastic time am not so depressed about returning to work tomorrow as feeling refreshed and complete.
