My post which I think raised a valid point has been removed?
I asked the question about the guyline cord being faulty as the Manufacturer had admitted.
I asked if they would be tracing tents sold with the same batch of guyline cord or do they wait for peoples holidays to be ended with a faulty tent?

Surely this site is not being ruled by Manufacturers and advertising revenue!

You'd hope they would but, I suspect the reality is that they'll wait until complaints come in. Some people may never camp in high winds and when the warranty period expires, it won't be a problem for the manufacturer.

On reading about these failure issues, it always seems to me that the major headache must be the ruined/interrupted holiday. There's no way of fixing that, is there?

I totally agree that it will be a matter of waiting and seeing from the manufacturer regarding similar issues with guylines failing.
It is good that the OP got the matter resolved in his favour but he will not forget how it spoiled his holiday.

I would also like to meet the person who can predict an overnight storm. Sometimes the forecasters can struggle.
Also trying to get everything out of the tent during a storm to enable dropping the tent?

I understand the weather was not stormy for the OP, which I suppose is more worrying as to how a tent will stand up to typical UK weather.

The cost of the OP's tent would leave you to believe it would be better quality than your bog standard mass producted tents, apparently not.
