Hi,
Im new to this site and was just after some advice as to whether anyone has camped at Easwell in wet and windy weather? We are on the basic pitch with a 6 man tent.
In all the years we have been camping we’ve stuck with sites we know and are familiar with, however this is our first time as Easwell.
We have 4 children so the tent is going to be quite cramped as we aren’t able to use our Coleman shelter which is where we usually cook and shelter under in wet weather, (site does not allow any more than just your tent and 1 car).
We are staying next week typically on the only days this summer that the temp drops and the wind and rain come…. Worse days will be wind of 20mph approx and gusts 30-33mph approx with plenty of rain.
If you have stayed here before how exposed is the site for the basic pitches and how long is the walk to the amenities?
I can cope with rain, but if the site is exposed and very windy it’s not going to be fun dealing with a tent and all the children 🤪

Thank you

Welcome to UKCS. I see the reviews here, for people in tents, are 9-10 years old. Always an idea to look at the satellite map on the site entry too, to see the context / neighbourhood. You can also change it to a cycle path map, if you’re bringing bikes.
Probably not much will have changed, but if you find the site on Google Maps, there are very recent reviews about the camping field & plenty of photos which can be helpful too.
Enjoy your trip. If you’ve got the right tent pegs, and a good tent, you can pretty much relax about the windy weather.
