How did you manage to find that out?? I've googled Home Farm and can't find anything, found the Wilcocks Farm website (such as it is) and it gives very little info, not even prices.

Myself and my cycling buddy, pitched at "Red Bank Farm" camping site Bolton le Sands, it has a brand new Cafe, and the breakfast is to die for, there is an Indian restaurant a short walk away, you can watch the land yaught folk doing there stuff on the beach, also as the site is a working farm, there are some cute animal things going on, showers etc were spot on, two fields for tents, lower one is more wind protected (see my profile photo), £3.50 per pitch, although we were on bikes, all in all very nice site I will definatley use again, if only for the breakfast.
The web site for "Red Bank Farm" at Bolton-Le-Sands is http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2829 it says 60 Pitches for tents (NO Caravans) although there is an area with statics, and Motorhomes are permitted, strange no Caravans though, anyway watch out for the hens, they are quite cheeky!.
Have you tried Wild rose in Cumbria, we are from Chorley and have a seasonal pitch here and our kids love it, (10 + 5) they have a swimming pool 2 playareas. it is about 1hour and 15min.

An update on Home farm, Adlington, have just called and spoke to the lovely owner... we will try to get there this weekend and let you all know how we got on - it sounds lovely by the way
francias, we have stayed at red bank ! it was our first ever trip.... ahhhhh! we enjoyed it even though I thought we were going to get blown away by the wind....!
Re the site we went to at the weekend, (Home Farm) it was perfect and will deffo be going again so thanks all for your super top tips! we have now found another lovey site perfect for a quick weekend away!!
We've tried Red Bank Farm too, really enjoyed it. Best place we've been by far is Wyreside Fisheries in Lancaster. Very friendly, excellent facilities, pub/restaurant on site that also do take away, small park for the kids and plenty of room for playing around the tent! Nice walks round all the fishing lakes too. Nice to park the car up when we got there and not move it again until we went home!
park foot campsite in the lake district accepts large tents and has plenty to do for the kids, 2 play areas and a stream to play in. The area is lovely aswell. a village ten minute walk away, its practically on the lake and 3 pubs in the village all child friendly / dog friendly
