Although not as big as Haven this group have entertainment for children, pool etc etc - they have 4 parks and a yellow bus that travels between them and the beach, dont think it would cost you anywhere as much !
I called this site and they wanted £330 for 7 nights (9th August) for a non-ehu pitch!! I was very shocked!! (only 2 adults and a child).
I also don't agree that some sites charge for trailers and jet-ski's etc. (saw one charging £7 a night) - surely if you pay for a ptich it doesn't matter what you put on it?? I understand that you pay more for extra people - but a trailer????
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We've booked 2 weeks in August at a local campsite in Guernsey.
(July - August) £7.20 Per Adult per night, 16 & Under = Half Price (£3.60) 4 & Under = Free
So for the 4 of us £18 per night
Optional 6amp Electricity = £2.50 per day
Has a Football Pitch, Games Room, Children's Playground, Bicycle Hire, Swimming Pool, Restaurant, Tv Room, PC with Internet & Email access (£1 for half an hour), Shop, Washing Facilities, Showers etc
I thought that was a bargain & can't wait.
It's nice to read where charges what though, very interesting!!
I paid £1 a night for kiln park haven tenby, at the beginning of June , in term time.
it was a nice clean site and the shower facilities were pretty good. we used the swimming pools but not the clubhouse, thankfully, not my 9 year old son's cup of tea either. The location is good for the beach and town centre. i would go back there on a special offer deal.
i certainly wouldn't pay £400 a week for it though. I also noticed they charge an extra £20 for a pitch with electric PER NIGHT !!
i'm going to bank Farm in Gower on friday. the CCC has a temporary holiday site there for the next 3 weeks. . covered swimming pool, bar, cafe, good playground, fabulous views overlooking the beach, £8.50 a night, per pitch includes all family and car.

We had four children and found Haven good value for money. We made them use everytihng we had paid for too !!! There were and are some really good last minute deals. A weekend on a certified site or THS move to Haven Monday to Friday back to a Certified site for the weekend. Even today you can get 4 nights for £74 which isn't bad for this time of year. Taking the mob swimming would make a big hole in £18
Now its just John and I, back to fields with a tap ! and a fishing lake.
------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
friend has gone to an all singing all dancing site for 10 nights serviced pitch (caravan) for £13 a night.
its home farm in somerset, with hooty the owl

As others have already said - the all singing and dancing sites have their uses.
I agree children can make their own entertainment by running around sites, playing games etc. But if you want to go away early or later in the year -and that can mean until June ish then you cannot guarantee the weather and there are only so many hours we can all sit in a tent playing games before even I get fed up!
I like both types of sites and use both at different times of the year for different reasons.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
