Could anyone recommend a campsite in the lake district for August BankHoliday.  There will be six families travelling together, we would like somewhere with facilities  - shop, showers, ehu, games room (something for kids to do), places to walk, pub not necessary.  Any suggestions?  Not looking for the holiday camp sort of site but still don't want it to be too quiet.

fisherground is really nice, has a pub, lots of walks, a miniature steam railway, an adventure playground and lake for the kids and the scenery is stunning! worth a visit as it allows fires too!

I'm after the similar sort of thing to, although there will be family with a touring caravan with us who like fully serviced pitches (ehu & water)
