Hi Can anyone suggest good campsites in North Wales which take dogs and are walking distance to a beach? Thanks, Anna
Oh I particuarly wanted to stay in Angelsey or Gwynedd if possible.
Well there's blackrock site - right behind beach - go up through Porthmadog - I am sure it takes dogs and you couldn't be nearer the beach! It's really basic on the left of the road but there's another one on the right of the road which has a cafe - I have never been to that one - I think they are both the same site if you see what I mean - however, there are two receptions - well the one on the left has a guy in a static caravan. You can't book it's a field where you can basically do what you like!
There are a few sites in Anglesey - one in Cemaes Bay and one in Benllech - the one in Cemaes Bay definitely takes dogs - you can walk to the beach from both.
anyone tried dafarn rhos molfre on angelsey we;ve booked for whit weekend we read the reviews of the site in the site search but were wondering if anyone has been this year

IT'S HEAVEN AND HELL!!!!!!
We've stayed at a BRILLIANT site there, twice in fact. Facilities are excellent, nice spacious pitches, bus stop outside site (top of a steep hill though!) or flat walk along the promenade into Barmouth town/harbour/bridge area. Fab pubs and loads of nice little restaurants to eat - sat outside with the dog - perfect!!! Doggie friendly site and not overpriced!
------------- More adventures in 2026 -

Kernow, If you are posting details of a site, please ensure you link to their UKCampsite.co.uk listing, not direct to their website, to enable reviews etc to be read
We stayed at Penrhos C&C site on Anglesey couldnt find a fault with the site or the location and you could smell the salt water from Red Dwarf as our tribe called the local beach
The nicest site on Anglesey is Home Farm it is a 5* site that is in Best of British, immaculate set out will with lots of space it is in the lovely Welsh countryside but not within walking distance of the beach unfortunately.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
we went to visit some friends staying on Anglesey a couple of years ago, they were staying on a site at a place called Church Bay, it is a small farm type site, that does hace EHU and toilets, it is only a 2 min walk to the beach, i will try to find out the name of the site for you.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
