Had a look at the sites on offer on here, looking now for peoples recommendations within 30 mins of cambridge. A nice clean & quiet site for last weekend of the month with the tin tent and a pair of little dogs.

 

(member of c+cc if that helps but certificated sites are out as we would much prefer mains that weekend)

We stayed at the Cambridge C & CC site at Great Shelford - Cabbage Moor, last week.  Nice, basic site, toilet/shower block clean but not heated.

Our favourite site in that area is Flood Ferry Marina, total peace and quiet by the river................am not sure if they are accepting tents this year as they have new owners the site is near to March, it might be worth giving them a ring to check, there is a small club and good showers etc.

Take a look at Stroud Hill Park , St Ives maybe 35 mins from Cambs on the A14 but hey what a site and in a lovely tranquil setting.

There is also the CC site..... a short bus ride from the city centre.

Highfield looks promising as long as I can get a pitch there :) closer to the city the better as we are attending a party and dont want a long drive back to the van afterwards by which time we will both be in need of a few stiff ones
