Cannot help with a specific site as you are well out of my area, you say you want to stay fairly close, but if you want to search for a site then check proximity of train stations put the post code into Multimap :: Welcome it will show you the area and tell you where the nearest train station is.

You can search for sites anywhere in the country using the camp site search facility at the top then either use the town/ county search or using South East Camp Sites Search Page UK search you can click the M and the map will highlite all sites in the area.

Good luck with your search and am someone will be along with a suggestion or 2.

To be honest i think the biggest problem you are going to face is how to actually carry the huge amount of kit you will need! 5 children 2 adults, cooking equipment , sleeping stuff, clothes, tent, baby stuff.......jings the list goes on !

Please dont think i'm being cheeky about this, just being a realist and giving you a heads up.
