We are staying at a Humble Bee Farm at Flixton, Scarbough for a week in August and are looking for another site to stay, for hopefully another week, on our way back home to North Wales.  We were hoping to stay somewhere in the Lake District but have been put off by the comments of people who have stayed at the sites that on first glance looked ideal.  Could anyone recommend another area that would be good to stop at? My sister, her husband and their family of 3 children, ranging from 8 to 12 years of age are also accompanying us with their caravan.  We would like a site with clean showers and toilets, a shop and preferably some swings/play park for the children and of course places of interest to visit on days out.
