Looking to go to Woolacombe for summer holidays. Think we have narrowed it down to these two sites.
Anyone been to both or got any preference?
Toilet and shower facilities important and taking a dog.
Prices seem to vary quite a lot, looks like WF will be 25.50 a night whereas DB 16.50 plus 35 joining fee. Is WF worth the extra £9 a night???
Help much appreciated.

Damage Barton for me everytime, if I was only nearer Devon I'd have a permanent pitch never mind a seasonal, never been to WF so cannot comment.

Same as Carterma, I've never been to WF so can't comment on the place but can definitely say DB is an excellent site, with the best toilet block I have ever seen!! Also try the flagons of cider from the shop-they will keep them in the freezer for a couple of hours for you- mmmmm!
See you all soon, Bernard

I have booked Warcombe Farm for the summer - hope I haven't made a big mistake!!
Was put off Damage Barton by friends who said it is very open and windy in the tent area and a fair walk to the toilets!
Fingers crossed my decision will be the right one.............

Both sites are open and suffer from wind.they are on top of the hill/cliff....
tis a fair walk to the toilets if you are on the far side of the site .
We have been all time of the year and what you have to rember is the summer mainly gets it wind from the sw (left looking out to sea from db) the sun also sets over the sea giving some fantastic sunset views!!!!!
Wf is also a nice site dont be put off!!!!!
Have a walk into Morthoe and enjoy a meal at The Chicester arms

We did Warcombe Farm a couple of years ago. Nice site with good facilities. We walked through the damage barton site a few times and it looked ok. We were on a none electric pitch that was seperated by hedges. The electric pitches were a little more open though.
I agree with batt, the site was very windy. Joy of being near a cliff top. Both sites have plenty of space for dogs. Indeed Warcombe has a very good dedicated dog walking area.
I'm sure whichever one you choose you'l have a great time. It's a lovely part of the world.
